I see a lot of people who are selling links from Huffington Post or Forbes. They are usually of high DA (I am mentioning DA as a reference here).

And people are buying them. They are not much effective in a competitive niche or against quality links. But still they are in the market. I am just not getting it!! How is this possible and people are selling them how they get links from those big sites?
They are in the market because they maybe no-follow but in low competitive niche where there aren't many sites, still they gets counted and a link is a link so they gets ranked.

And people who are selling those links aren't selling links from actual posts of those big sites. They are some kind of profile link or forum mentioning. Because many big sites such as those has forums associated with them.
pointed it out correctly. In very low competitive niche or for ranking kw's which can be easily ranked.
Many of them are already ugc links and many of them are converting fast. So, these things will be seen lesser than ever in the near future.
If this is possible that many people are selling links from Huffington Post or Forbes and this will cost you a lot due to the website's high reputation in the field.
