Lots of people and lots of opinion. But what OP should do is test them both before buying anything.
I also use two different tool Ahref and Keyword planner.It will helps us to be sure,It really helps us to finalize few keywords from large data.

You are using two tools alright. But in your case one is simple and another is high end. Here OP is asking about which high end tool to trust.
