Apart from all the nonsense in this thread.

I found your reply enticing. If people only had gained links through content then they it would have taken them forever to rank.

And not to mention even if you had build good content its not that people are going to link back you readily.

As per my experience Guest blogging, Blog commenting, Ego bait, Guestographics, Forum backlinks, Business directory submission are the best link building strategy.
