What do you guys think that having rivals boards to your forum, a good thing? I personally see that as an advantage. As forum is a site with many things so it is really very very hard to generate new ideas and work on it.

If there will be a similar board like yours then you can share information and ideas to make both of your forums better. And if your fellow forum admin is it not willing do that, then in that case you can look up to, it learn from their mistakes, take their content gaps and fill it etc.

I will say that it totally depends on the niche size if it is a big niche then it is always to have a fellow board. It will diversify your entire niche, evolve your ideas exclusively providing more fields to focus on.

I will rather go with no competition at all. It will make too easy to score.

Having a good competitor is a good thing in my opinion.
