To me A/B split testing worked like a charm. We had choose couple of landing pages. And the we start experimenting with the them through various ad campaigns.
This also include alternating headlines, changing call to action buttons, landing page image optimization, changing the logos, ad campaign tracking through different alternate keywords etc.
