Actually, the domain age does have a little effect in the SERP's but it does not effect much. The most important things to get ranked against a several years aged domain with your few months old domain is building content, and getting links which really matters.

Yes..! as of i know example., if we already have 10years old domain, this will give you a good result than a new domain.. bcoz, old domains will getting list in Search Engines as default. and if it is seo compatible using meta tags and descriptions....

In my opinion, sites which have actually old content and age are getting the favor. Suppose, you have some blog posts which are 10 years old along with your site then its very good advantage otherwise not. If you have some links that are old then only it will matter, if you have a 10 year old domain only and nothing else on your site is not that much old then its going away.
