Are Emails the best way to generate traffic? Say you have a email list in your niche which you have bought.

I understand what are you trying to say here. You are trying to generate traffic from nothing.

I will suggest that don't send them up promotional emails or subscribe them to any email list. Build a relationship first. Send them interactive emails, see how they react and then act accordingly with time.

In my opinion its not the correct way.

It will be considered as one of the best way to generate traffic if well targeted but will be the worst if use to blast in unknown lists of contacts.
