Is is really possible now-a-days that Conversion Rate Optimization leads to growth? I mean previously it was easy but now good conversion at a time doesn't mean that your business will grow. Too much competition now.

Yeah its possible. You just have to find out what your end users needed right now & also help them in a long time basis, and trigger that. It will not only create good conversion but also growth. Its called Growth Hacking.
