How do you promote your forum when you first started?

We did it through forum marketing.

Forum Mraketing, social bookmarking, blog commenting. Actually people do everything to reach the critical mass.

I agree. Be present and helpful in each and every famous community boards in your niche. It will build you authority.

Well I have done everything. Whatever way to get to the audience.

One of the best way is also using an active online community like forum sites in which related to your niche.
