What are the pros and cons of investing in Social Media for general online marketing ??

The basic pro is that the traffic from the are free or cheap so even the smallest business owners can afford them And the cons of investing in social media is that the traffic may seem to be targeted but they may be not much as effective as other traffic sources. People often don't get good ROI while investing in social media.

Social media helps to generate good amount of traffic to your website by promotions and following other profiles. But most of the traffic are inorganic in nature and are not helpful for your business leads.

To me social media traffic is good its not very targeted but it gets your brand a good exposure for sure. But when it comes to getting conversions this traffic is pretty much useless.
