Full Version: Why are bing and Yahoo! search results different?

If bing and Yahoo! merged after Microsoft bought Yahoo!, then why are the search results they offer for the same keywords different? Shouldn't they be using the same algorithm? Did Microsoft change Yahoo!'s algorithm after it purchased the company?

You can't say that as both they are different well established companies.
