YES, it is necessary as it will improve your ranking on search engines.
Using brand name in the meta title will not improve your search rankings because it is not the basis of Google.
If your brand name consist of any keywords, then it is a good idea to use other wise, their is no benefit of this.
If we use brand name with keyword then definitely, it will boost up in Google's SERP. At some point, it improves the ranking of the website also.
