How to get Referral Traffic from No-follow Links?

I have been asked this question many times. So, I am starting a thread to know about your thoughts.

I get referral traffic from no-follow links from these sources.

Such as,

- Forum Marketing - Contributing in a forum is the most healthy way to get connected to the community. I place my link in the signature and post valuable information that is important to the community. The boards send send me a hell lot of traffic.

- Blog Commenting - I know there are webmasters who still think that blog commenting are still for link building. But they are not. If you comment on a blog providing good information and adding value to the page content then you will get plenty of referral traffic from link which you left behind at the time of commenting.

But these are just my ideas. Share your experiences.
Well nice points you have mentioned.

Just I am adding one thing that a site owner can also get a good amount of traffic from social media accounts which are also no-follow.
Well, I also did the signature method, and I track them down via bitly.
Yet, the results did not end well. Not many people would click the links on my signature, because they are too busy with their posts.
Are there any other ways? Please recommend and share with us.
It doesn't matter if no follow links or not the most important is the page engage with the users to produce quality links.
Dofollow or Nofollow is not important now in SEO. I see that many websites/blogs have nofollow links and they always on the top of result page.
