How much email marketing campaigns are effective for local business?

Emails are effective for all kind of business. If the list of yours is good. I mean organically made. People who are actually interested in your product or service.

When I first started freelancing. I used to collect emails of the people I work with. Not only online but offline. I send them email now also, weekly newsletters and offers. As I have grown the list in the most organic way possible so it is also the most converting medium of mine.
