I am trying to get sales for my affiliate clickbank product. Surprisingly, after doing some research I found that linkedin is the place where why customers reside. What should I do? People keep saying that linkedin is a crapbox filled with spammy professionals.

Well all of them are not fraud in linkedin. And if you are certain that linkedin is the right place for your product then you should go for it. Look for users who are legit and show them your product.
