I am targeting specific audience of a particularly niche(auto parts). The budget of mine is around $1000 per month. Should I use banner ads or textual ads from the different car parts sites and blogs. What do you guys suggest?

In this case of yours I will suggest targeting keywords through text ads. As think of it if you buy banner ads then what specifically you can show as image that could be tremendously attractive but in text ads its not that hard rather its easy as google will put your links along with the relevant texts.

Banner ads can be expensive go for text ads first and then if you think you can get considerable good amount of ROI then you can go for banner ads.

Its better to use banner ads and textual ads because it will give the maximum conversions for the site.

Both are effective for this banner ads give a pure visibility to the users whereas text ads give you relevant customers to your site.
