For a keyword of 5k demand I am lready ranking at 4 or 5th position

Hello guys, I am new to this forum.

As my headline says I am already ranking for a keyword which has about 5k monthly visitors. What should I do to get ranked even more better. I have checked the sites which are ranking above me. There content is not as good as mine. But still I am ranking below them.

Now coming to your matter. Your content is good yet you are ranking below some sites who have inferior content, right? The main reason for this to happen is that your competitors have good backlink profile than yours. Google and other search engines consider backlinks as votes to rank pages. Although there are thousands of factors into play and thousands of factors that Google considers before ranking anything, still backlinks are one of the most important factor in all of this.

Now, remember the count of backlinks does't matter its their quality that matters. You need to get strong backlinks to your site.

If this is correct as you said. Then I shall tell you that you are already doing a great job. Getting ranked without backlinks for a kw which has more than a thousand monthly searches is quite impressive.

I just assumed that you haven't built any backlinks. So, tell me did you have built? If so then how so?

You haven't mentioned the age of your domain. The domain authority also matters and if your domain is new then users will take time to scroll down and click on your keywords, this will tell the google that your site is useful. Also, don't forget to create backlinks.

Domain age doesn't matter in today's world.

And talking about DA, why google would care about a third party metrics? No to mention which is highly inaccurate.

The solution is plain and simple.
Go to the sites that are rtanked above you.
Analyse the backlinks that they have created for themselves.
Then approach those sites and ask them if they can link to your content.
You can give a reason that your content is better. They may or may not link back to you.

Also, find out other sites that allow guest blogging in your niche and approach them to allow you to write a post for them ansd include your links in that guest blog post.

These two tactics are sufficient to rank you in the top spot on Google.
