Is it always necessary to give my subscribers a deadline when I am conducting any survey??

You should create a time deadline as surveys are not for forever.

It is very obvious to create a deadline when you are conducting any survey and I will also recommend it. But if you are conducting a survey for yourself which is out of general curiosity or query then I will say that not to do that. In that case it will be like a forum posting so you might offend your subscribers.
