The difference between Adwords and Adsense is that adwords allows you to advertise on the Google search results pages (and the network of partners) while Adsense is the platform to use as a publisher to display Google Ads on your website.

Both platforms are developed and owned by Google and they have positively contributed to Google’s success. As a blogger or website owner there are many reasons why you should understand the difference between the two. For starters you should know what each platform is and under what circumstances you can use both Adwords and Adsense on the same website.

1.The main difference is that AdWords is used by advertisers and AdSense is used by publishers.
2.AdWords advertisers have much flexibility in regards to their ad text, while AdSense publishers can’t alter the text within ads appearing on their site.
3.AdSense publishers can only place three content ads, three link ads, and two search boxes. Meanwhile AdWords advertisers can only have one of their ads delivered at a time on Google, the Google Search Network, and the Google Display Network.
4. AdWords advertisers can have a general idea of how much they’ll spend by setting maximum bid amounts for their keyword phrases. But AdSense publishers earn what they earn.
