A site with low quality content is ranking good

I am terribly disappointed in the SERP's. A site with poor content is ranking good but our site which has rich content is not ranking well. Why is this happening?

Have you checked your competitors link profile? I am sure from what you are saying that they have a very good link profile which has good authority links.

We hear these kind of things almost everyday.

People having good content is not enough. Why? Search engines doesn't work in that way we have to have strong link profile too in order get ranked better in the SERP's. So, here what you can do grab a link tracking tool such as aherf or any other. See what they have in their link profile and start acting accordingly.
