How good is Hostwinds for shared hosting? Can they be comparable with Godaddy or Bluehost?

To Godaddy yes but Bluehost no. Since, they are a big company you will find a mixed batch of people saying something good and bad. I have used them the main problem or say complaint that I hear about them is their uptime, certainly in my case I haven't faced anything like that. My site was down though for a couple of minutes because they need to rapir the server or something such sort for once that's it. They are designed to attract low budget customers so their shared hosting will look good for an rookie eye. They truth is their setups are good but they can be very hard if you don't know what you are doing. For instance I migrated my site to them in shared hosting. I knew exactly what to look and what to do so it was easy for me. But their support isn't much of any good if you don't know what you are doing. You need to learn some basics in order to totally use their services according to your likings. And also their add-ons isn't free you have to upgrade your plan often in order to get them. Otherwise, their performance and support is very good. Hey ! you get what you pay for. It is safe to say that if you have their services then you are in good hands for sure.
I surely rate them 4.2 out of 5.
