Can similar multiple contents in forum hurt the site's ranking for duplicate content?

First of all, forum sites are not like blogs. They may contain similar type of topics or even same topic. It does not effect the rankings. As many people can express their views, or share information, or ask about some query. But too much of them is obviously bad. If the site's maximum content is best on similar topics then its going to get hurt.

In forums it happens all the time its totally natural. But just like 'batman' said too much of them is not good.

It doesn't affect at all because forum content duplicate or not has nothing to do with rankings. Forums are created for producing healthy discussions that will help the members improve in their respective field.
