Do UTM URL parameters hurt SEO backlink value?

Search Engines does not count those as a backlink they will more act like a no-follow link to your site. But as they appears to be like a self-generated links so too much UTM urls can hurt your site, search engines may accuse you of using spammy link schemes and you can get red flagged.
