If your app has already been launched before then I would suggest that stick to the methods which you have already used before first if they doesn't work then you have try some new methods.

After first initial launch its showed some problem. So, we have to stop it then fix it before relaunching it. We have used PPC but I am not sure that it will work this time.

Why do you think so? Promote it by saying '2.0' version, the new improved. PPC campaigns are something you don't know everything unless you try it by yourself. So, give it a go.
