Can anybody explain to me what is a heatmap? and the importance of it.

Heatmap is a graphical (specially by colors)representation of collective data aggregated from several elements of a website.
Suppose, you have a heatmap in your blog and have it set from dark color to light color setting as per the number of visitors or engagement of them from maximum to minimum, then it will show that the most visited pages of your as dark colors and gradually the color concentration will decrease while coming to lower visited pages.
