Yes, page load speed is one of the factors that can affect a website's search engine rankings. A slow-loading website can negatively impact a user's experience and may result in a lower ranking in search results.
Search engines aim to provide the best possible experience for their users, and one way they do this is by ranking websites that load quickly higher in the search results. This is because users are more likely to remain on a website and interact with it if it loads quickly rather than leaving and going to a different website.

Slow page speed can affect a website's search engine ranking because search engines consider page load speed as one of the ranking factors. When a website takes too long to load, it negatively impacts user experience, which search engines prioritize in their ranking algorithm. Users are more likely to abandon a slow-loading website, leading to a higher bounce rate and lower dwell time, which are both negative signals for search engines.

Moreover, slow page speed can also affect the crawling and indexing of web pages. Search engine crawlers may not be able to crawl and index all the pages of a slow website, leading to fewer pages being indexed and a lower overall ranking.

Therefore, it is essential to optimize website speed and performance to improve its search engine ranking and provide a better user experience.

A minor loading time which is common among all sites are acceptable but if the loading time will be too much then the user will not stay on your website and hence you lost the traffic which further leads to ranking!!
