Having a shared databse with community and blog, a good idea? - retrobat - 01-06-2020

Apparently if we do that then it is more problem free for us. And our shared hosting only supports one db so there's that. But is it a good idea?

I don't understand what you are saying problem free here?

Your host doesn't provide you more than on database or you have chosen a plan where only one database is provided to you. That's completely your business.

And in the long run it is going to problem, trust me. People keep separate db's for a reason. You are going to corrupt your database sooner or later.

No one will say you to use one single database for two scripts right at the same time. It will be cataclysmic.
