sandbox holds the ranking in a search engine, until the crawlers get the full idea that the website is ranking in search engine. it is used to hold the ranking until its starts ranking.

Google Sandbox is supposed filter placed on new websites. The result is that a site does not receive good rankings for its important keywords and phrases. Even with good content and abundant incoming links a site is still adversely affected by the Sandbox effect.
