Re: Does Content Length really matters? - frank - 10-01-2018

Content length doesn't matter. As long as the post serves its purpose, I think its ok. No matter how long it is.

I think it depends on the topic, if you have no competition, a couple of lines can get good positions, but if your subject is very competitive, you should have more text on your page.

Yes, Content's length is always matter. For blog content the length should be in 1600 word. As. you know searching is also based on content so it should be lengthy with attractive.

No content length do not matter for ranking keywords. The quality of the content helps to rank webpages higher in search engines.

It is totally a baseless statement.

Everyone has different opinion on this that what should be the ideal content length. I did a research on first ten results in Google using 20,000 keywords. It shows the average word count at different positions in search rankings.

Things to keep in mind
There are a few things to be taken care before writing a long content as trying to overdo it might cause a negative effect.
1. Do not stretch your content
Never try to stretch your content because you think it is a bit short in length. Do only if you genuinely think it should be included not thinking about content length.
2. Avoid unrelated content length
Do not try to add some crappy content which is nowhere related to your article base. be honest to yourself and stick to thee topic.
3. Don’t Focus only on content length
Although it is important in increasing your conversion rate and ranking higher but do not write just to increase the word count.
4. Do not cross limits
Do not write such a long content which seems like an essay or a big page with black characters which is not ending. Define a limit for yourself which you think will not be termed as over lengthy.

Conclusion
1) Write interesting content
If you decide of writing a long content then make it interesting for users to read otherwise it is going to repel your readers. Try to use pictures, graphics, videos to make it interesting.
2) Ideal Word Count
Let me tell you one thing there is no such thing as “ideal word count”. It just depends on your niche and yourwriting style. For eg news sites really can’t add 1000 or 1500 words to their articles. they need to keep it short and to the point. So the question which comes out is:
“How to know best word count for your niche?”
Analyse your competitors: Get detailed data of your competitors and anayse it carefully. This might give you the best idea that what can be a suitable word count for your niche.
Perform testing: Write both long and short articles within your niche and observe which is performing better. This will help you in analysing what your readers are looking for.
