Linking question - terry - 08-27-2013
I have a question in regards to linking from the main (home) page or creating a new page, placing text on that new page and linking to a supplier website from that page. Which is better and why?
I have a request to add a banner on the home page that will link directly to the supplier website. I believe it would be better to create a new page, link that banner to the new page where I could perform all the seo tasks needed to get it ranked as high as possible. This to me sounds like the best option.
What do you think?

As, it is an advertisement, your banner requester will agree?? If you create a new page in your site and link with the supplier site.
If you are trying to promote any affiliate product then its good to create a new page but if it is only an advertisement banner then it will be good to link from your homepage..
