The quantity of backlinks doesn't get count what gets counted is the quality.

There isn't a count of backlinks for ranking keywords in search engines. Ranking depends on the quality of backlinks that you build. They can be fewer good backlinks that will help rank your keyword in search results.

Depend on what you're trying to achieve. The more you want to achieve, the more backlinks you will need.
You can potentially rank your business's websites with literally just a few backlinks, but that would be for low competition keywords with low search volumes, meaning you would get few visitors to your site.
