Marketing in reddit is not like forum marketing. You can just post and expect them to visit your site. You have to build reputation first it takes some time. Make valuable posts help other members and then start posting your urls. It will drive more traffic than any other forum.

I am not an forum admin of successful board but my opinion is that marketing in other forums is much easy than reddit. Reddit takes time and deep dedication to achieve traffic.
